A packed gym, a stadium parking lot, a prom venue and a campus dead zone all eat your signal. Making a card never needs it. Here is exactly what works with no signal, and what has to wait.

The Studio saves itself to your phone the first time you open it with a signal. Do that on your home wifi, then add it to your home screen. After that it opens with no signal at all.

  1. Open CardMySeniorYear in your phone’s browser while you still have a signal.
  2. Add it to your home screen. On iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, tap Install.
  3. Open it once from the icon. Turn on airplane mode and try it. If the Studio opens, you are set.

Before you start.

Is this for high school seniors or college seniors?
Both. Pick High school or College when you set up your school. The moments are the same, except the prom is a high school night and the senior formal is its college cousin.
Does it really work with no signal?
Yes, once you have opened it with a signal first. Open CardMySeniorYear on your phone and add it to your home screen. After that, making, numbering and saving cards all happen on your phone. Sharing needs a connection, which you can do later.
Do I have to install an app?
There is no app store download. CardMySeniorYear is a web app you add to your home screen. On iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, tap Install.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your photo stays on your phone. Only the finished card is uploaded, and only when you share it or save it to an account.
Do you print cards?
No. CardMySeniorYear is digital only. You can save any card as a picture and print it wherever you like.
What if I lose my phone?
Cards saved to your account follow you. Sign in with your email on a new phone and they are all there.
Is this connected to my school?
No. CardMySeniorYear is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any school, college, school district or yearbook company. Your school name on a card is text you type, and your school colors are just colors.
Is it free?
The Studio is free to start, and every school color is free. One paid plan, $39.99 for your whole senior year, adds the gold foil, coin and arch finish and unlimited sets. Free cards use the Standard look; the Pass is paid once and does not renew.
Can I delete my account and my cards?
Yes, at any time, from inside the Studio or from cardmysenioryear.com/delete-account. Nothing has to be requested by email.
